Renting in 2022
If you’ve been actively looking in the rental market in the past 12 months then you will know what I mean when I say WOW, what a market! It’s a great time to be an investment owner, but a stressful time to be a tenant, especially if you’re trying to move!
For a majority of the year the vacancy rate in Brisbane has been around 0.7% which is the lowest it’s been in 16 years. Like what? Crazy!
Since the interest rates have increased, it’s changed the market for both sales and rental markets ever so slightly. As a tenant, the best thing you can do to make your application stand out from the rest is to be prepared and provide all the necessary information (+ more) to the agencies that you are applying with. This means having all of the information pertaining to your application ready to input to your 1Form applications before you apply. If you are currently renting through an agent or a private landlord we will need;
-Their name
-The full property address (including the unit number if it’s an apartment)
-The agent or landlord’s contact number and email address.
Without this, it makes it very difficult to process your application. Hot tip, it’s worthwhile to do this as the people who provide this information will have their applications processed first.
Another hot tip, if the application calls for 100 points of ID, give 150. If the application asks for 3 payslips, give 6. Provide a bank statement, if you can, showing savings and or your weekly/fortnightly/monthly pay going into your actual account. The more you provide the easier it is for us to show the landlord that the information you’ve provided is true and correct.
The easier you can make it for us to process your application the quicker we can get you approved!
